27th 52 Dessert Sushi!

I am very sorry! I haven't blogged in a while. I've been insanely busy. I had regionals for Science Olympiad, then I had softball tryouts for school and then I made the team and I've had so many practices, plus I just got home from South Carolina- I had been there since last Friday. Important thing is, I'm here now! So lets get to it. I made dessert sushi. It tastes a lot better than it sounds! I used rice krispy treats, fruit roll ups, cake and icing, coconut, mini marshmallows, and a good bit of food coloring. I tried making California rolls first, but as you can see from the picture, that didn't work out to well. The rice krispy treat didn't roll nicely so I ended up making octopus (which was apparently the wrong color, oops!), eel, and Swedish fish sushi. I'm just going to put the recipe for the Swedish fish ones but if you want the recipe for any of the other ones ask and I'll post it. So here's the recipe!

Ingredients: (For Swedish fish.)
  • Swedish fish
  • Rice krispy treats
  • sweetened coconut
  • Green or blue fruit roll up
  • White icing
Directions:
Roll out your rice krispy treats to about 3/4 inch thick and cut into squares. Cut a strip of fruit roll up and put a dab of icing on it and wrap it around the edge of the rice krispy treat. Ice the top lightly and dip in coconut. Put a little icing on the Swedish fish and put in the middle of the sushi piece. Enjoy!

  1. There is a Pop Tart store near Times Square in New York and they sell pop tart sushi. It was gross, but funny!
